Beginning each year in September, individuals and organizations may volunteer to sponsor families in need within the community and provide Christmas gifts for that year. Our families register during the month of October and the first two weeks of November. We then try to match the families and sponsors that we have received and get the information on the families out to the sponsors by the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving. There is no dollar amount required for the program, we leave this up to the sponsor to determine how little, or how much, they are able to give. Sponsors have the choice to adopt one child, just the children in a household or the entire family.
Please contact Mary Jo Mascitti at the Naperville Township Supervisor's Office for more information or to make a donation.
On behalf of Naperville Township Supervisor’s Office and the clients served through the 2017 Holiday Adoption Program, I would like to thank all of our sponsors for their generous participation. Thanks to your kindness, hard work and overwhelming generosity, 77 families were matched to sponsors this program year. That’s 187 children who were able to experience the excitement that all children deserve on Christmas Day. We had 29 groups, businesses or organizations, and an additional 37 individuals/families or family groups who participated as sponsors and we thank you for making this Christmas extra special for our families. We will keep the confidentiality of family and individual sponsors (you know who you are J), but would like to recognize the organizations that participated this year.
A special THANK YOU to the North Central College Student Organizations who coordinated with us to hold the first Holiday Adoption Pick-Up Event held at Wentz Concert Hall Lobby. An extra-special THANK YOU to North Central’s a cappella group, One Note Stand, who were absolutely wonderful and whose beautiful and talented voices filled the lobby with holiday spirit and joy. We were also blessed by a wonderful family who provided 105 stockings filled with goodies to be passed out at this event. Every single stocking was given out and no one was left wanting, it worked out wonderfully.
We would also like to thank everyone who contacted us looking to adopt this holiday season and we were not able to match with a family, we look forward to possibly working with you in the future!
Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2018!
