Brush Pickup

Brush Pickup

The Township Brush Removal Program is a convenient service for unincorporated residents of Naperville Township. Our brush chipper is designed to mulch those limbs and branches that do not qualify as yard waste. Our equipment is not designed to grind small twigs and evergreen trimmings. Call your scavenger service for disposal of yard waste and roots. If it is baggable it is yard waste and will not be accepted by the Township.

2024 Brush Pickup Schedule

Unincorporated residents may place brush at curbside by 7:00 AM on the 1st Monday of the first full week of the month, May through October. Do not place material earlier than the Saturday before the scheduled pick up. Servicing the entire unincorporated areas often take three to five days. Your brush may not be picked up until later in the week. We make only one pass through your neighborhood each month so you must follow the guidelines.

Acceptable Brush

Long limbs up to 8" in diameter, branches and vines

Unacceptable Brush

Tied bundles, short snippings, clippings, roots (they can hide stones), bags, or cans full of clippings and rakings. Unacceptable piles will be left with a letter of explanation.

Please do not "hide" thorny tree branches (such as Olive or Hawthorne trees) inside piles. Place these next to larger piles and our men will take them. They need special care. If mishandled they can cause injury.

How to Place Brush

Laid as neatly as possible with butt ends toward the street and parallel to each other. Do not cut into short pieces. Long branches work best. Keep stacking to a minimum. Spread out the stack across your parkway. This will allow light and other elements to reach your grass and prevent the grass from dying. Anything over 8" in diameter should be cut into fireplace length logs for your use or they can be left at the curb for your neighbor's fireplace.

Storm Damage

The Road District will pick up tree limbs felled by severe storms, usually three days after the storm.
